Please see the list at the right for required dance attire for individual levels and classes.
No leg warmers, shirts, sweatpants, jewelry, or shorts accepted!
Note to all enrolled in RAD syllabus work (grade 1-8): Students will need a full circular character skirt as well as character shoes for their first class in September. Students in Grades 6-8 RAD will be required to have a chiffon circular skirt and scarf.
Costumes and Year End ShowIn June, NBS holds a year-end performance. It is required that students are available for extra mass rehearsals at the studio and dress rehearsals at the theatre. Dancers need parent supervision in order for the show to run smoothly. Please volunteer at the studio. Every class pays a costume deposit in the fall. The deposit is used toward purchasing, or sewing your child’s costume. NBS works very hard to keep costume prices low, however, many costumes end up costing around $80.00. Students with costumes that end up costing more than the deposit will be invoiced in the spring. NBS will hold costumes until the full balance is paid.
CommunicationAs we do not have a common waiting area or office at the studio we ask that parents please phone our answering service (716-3319) to leave a message. We will be sure to call back as soon as possible. Please be sure to check the studio for monthly notices, and our website frequently, (especially in the spring during festival and year-end show) as there is a lot of information handed out throughout the year. We would also appreciate it if parents were punctual in their pick up times with students to ensure a smooth transition between classes.
